08:00 - Departure from Varna / Dobrich. Visit the Stone Forest - Stone Forest is a unique natural phenomenon without parallel in the world and is one of three geological Bulgaria recognized world significance. Departure for Devnia - visit the Museum of Mosaics and karst springs. Visit the first object c. Pliska - located in the municipality Kaspichan, District Shoumen. It is near the town of Novi Pazar Municipality. It was the first capital of Danubian Bulgaria. Visit the medieval town of Pliska or Plaskov, the capital of Bulgaria (the First Bulgarian Empire) from the late 7th century to about 893 when the capital was moved to Preslav. Departure to Shumen. Accommodation. Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. First site to visit is: Monument in 1300 Bulgaria - representing the most important moments in Bulgarian history from VII to X century. The monument consists of eight concrete blocks. The interior is decorated with 21 sculptures and 540 m2 mosaics. It reveals a panoramic view of Shumen and also started hiking trails on the plateau. Departure to Madara - Madara Horseman is an archaeological monument representing carved into the rock relief of 23 m height from the base of a cliff. Located in northeastern Bulgaria, near the village of Madara and 20 km from the town of Shumen. It was declared a World Heritage monument by UNESCO in 1972.
